It’s that time of year again.

It's not new but it's improved and it's coming up fast! The 2004 AAPG-SEG Student Expo is set for October 17-18, 2004. We're excited about the changes which should make this expo one of the best experiences ever.

For example, all events, except for the fieldtrips, will he held at one location. The Westin Galleria Hotel in Houston is the new site. Although traditionally the icebreaker reception has been held at Rice University, the Expo has outgrown the location and this year the icebreaker will be held at the hotel as well.

Registration has been streamlined.

Expo registration and signing up for the field trip is all managed in one step. You can click a link during registration and reserve your room at the hotel through a special Web site the hotel has created.

Resume and abstract submissions is also improved.

This year we would like these documents to be PDF files. This will help the recruiting companies access the information more efficiently. There is a link on the Student Expo site that will allow one to convert a document to a PDF file.
