A Memo From Mike:
The time of year to renew you student membership has come and gone. Unfortunately the student dues statements were somewhat delayed in being mailed, thus many students did not receive these statements until recently. Many of you took advantage of paying your 2004-2005 dues online, a much faster and efficient method of renewing, others have chosen to return the hard copy of the dues statement received. Which ever method you have chosen I applaud your return to the valuable membership in AAPG.
A few students have posed questions to me recently about renewing their membership, and I felt this would be a good area to provide instructions, and answer some of the more common questions.
Dear Mike,
My membership number is XXXXX-X I have received my dues statement. Is there a way I can pay online? Also, is the Halliburton dues sponsorship still available?

My usual response to this question is:
Dear Student Joe,
The Halliburton payment option is currently renewable yearly. You must request this option each year; this process can be completed online at the following website. http://www.aapg.org/dues/index.html

Dear Mike,
I received my membership statement recently, but how do I renew with the corporate sponsorship program? Last year there was a form to fill out and return, but I cannot find this form.

You are correct there should have been an enclosed form to fill out and return to receive the corporate dues sponsorship. I apologize for the oversight, please see the attached form. You may print this, complete and return with your dues statement.
