Eastern Section AAPG Meeting Includes Student Job Quest

How do I attend?
By September 2, 2005:
- Register for the main meeting (see http://www/wvgs.wvnet.edu/www/esaapg05).
- Be sure to mark on the application your desired attendance at the student job quest.
- Submit your resume on 8.5” x 11” paper in an electronic file format (.doc or .pdf). There is a maximum of 2 pages.
- Submit a one-page abstract if entering the poster contest (see abstract guidelines). You are not required to present a poster; however this is an excellent opportunity to showcase yourself and your work for prospective employers!
- Resumes and abstracts will be forwarded to participating companies before the Student Job Quest so tentative interview schedules can be set up.
- Prizes of $500, $250, and $100 will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places respectively.
- An abstract book will be provided to each participant free of charge.
How much does it cost?
- The cost is $25.00, which covers BOTH the general Eastern Section AAPG meeting and the Student Job Quest

Abstract Guidelines:
- Digital abstracts are encouraged. If submitting paper, it must be mailed flat (unfolded) to address below.
- Your abstract must fit on the front of a single 8.5” x 11” page and be in 12-point font.
- No illustrations, references, abbreviations, or bold prints are permitted.
- Your abstract will appear in the “Poster Session Abstract Book” exactly as submitted.
- There will be no editing or reformatting of abstracts.
- Use only the format shown below.
- Author’s names should appear in the order of senior author first with affiliated university/employer, followed by secondary authors and their affiliated university/employer.
- Body of the abstract should be 250 words or less.
- All text must be aligned to both the left and right margins. Lines must be single-spaced.
- Indent the first line of each paragraph.
- Helvetica, Arial, or similar font is preferred.
- Proofread before submission!
- NOTE: Each participant will be provided with one standard (4X8 foot) Velcro-cloth covered board for poster display. No tacks, staples, or tape will be permitted.
- Abstracts submitted after September 30, 2005 and those not adhering to the guidelines listed above will not be included in the pre-printed abstract book given to companies.
